  1. Alison, this is gorgeous. I was transported by the sound of the wind in the trees, the rattley oak leaves. And the setting sun on your/my face. I felt I was there.

    1. That means a lot to me, Joan, coming from a writer with your gifts. Thank you. Glad to share the moments with you.

  2. Alison, this is really enjoyable to share. I am with you there in the woods, cold and bright with long shadows. You make me long for those days when I walked alone in the winter to the shore from our Wisconsin home. I am not sad – the longing is comfortable and warming to my soul. Thank you for taking me there.

  3. Isn’t it amazing how the woods are in winter!? I got real lost in that park once on cross country skis. When I finally found my car someone was there and asked me “are you OK”?
I was wasted but said YES!!
No bugs, shadows, trees & shades of white…and one of the words you taught me, Bliss!

    1. Oh my goodness! We have to learn to balance on that tightrope between totally immersed in the blissful present but aware of our surroundings, strength and the waning light. Love the challenge.
